Meerkat's are very strange animals and very bright, and they are one of the few creatures on art that seem to display true altruistic behaviour which is very cool . Focus is a little strange since only the dude at the far right seems to be in focus. Still a very nice shot though, well done Skye

Yes, the focus is strange... Were you using a film camera or a digital? If film, you might want to bump up your film speed number. If say you are using 200, use 400 instead or sometimes even 800, depending on the light - in both cases, I think you should increase the shutter speed and adjust the iris to let more light in (I can't remember all of this, but I remember my boyfriend telling me something like this about taking "action shots."

There is a really good photographer here at gfx - You should ask  Madanapale about this, he is really good and his advice is superb! BUT personally, I kind of like the little tykes out of focus to the left because it makes it look like they are really into it! Good shot!

Great capture....A little more DOF would be nice....still very interesting...thanks for sharing I didn't know anything about these animals.

I jus saw the above comment....The focus is nice on the main subject at the right....but the blurring of those at the left is a little distracting to me....I understand how difficult is to take these pictures....hard to tell....the may have moved also....I think is a very good capture!....I understand Vousavec point too...and is a good point!!!

I would like to add that what ever is sticking up in the middle is very distracting from the meerkats. I know it isn't a tail so I am left wondering about that and not the subject.

I cant critisize a photo. But I love the image and the feeling. Top Marks.

the 2 meerkats on the side are blurry cause the little buggers didnt stop moving. and the thing in the middle is a stick. i took more shots of them, but, its like taking foto's of rats. they keep on moving, so u end up snapshooting tails and backs..

Cool pic on meercats, captures a lot of different personalities in each of them. Playful, inquistive or just plain bored and lazy. Good shot!

meerkats rock, i wanna run away and join a pride of them...just me and them, hanging out in the desert...eating grubs...that would be the life +7

Well, the only thing I can add is that you were out of luck. If the creatures have been sitting still, you would get a superb shot. The colors and texture of the image are superb, but it lacked of the models discipline eheh
